This policy explains what information WhaleMirror (whalemirror.com) collects when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. WhaleMirror is an analytics site built on Hyperliquid public data; you can browse it without an account.

Information we collect

Usage data. Like most websites, our servers record standard request information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. We use this to operate, secure and troubleshoot the site.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are popular). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as pages visited, approximate location and device information. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Account information (optional). If you choose to sign in, authentication is handled by our provider Clerk, which processes your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, basic Google profile information. We store the bookmarks you save, linked to your account ID, so they sync across devices. See Clerk's privacy policy.

Data stored in your browser. Without an account, bookmarks, followed traders and recently viewed traders are stored only in your browser's local storage and are not sent to us. You can clear them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Trader data. Wallet addresses, positions and trade history shown on WhaleMirror come from Hyperliquid's public blockchain data, which is visible to anyone.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. For more, see how Google uses cookies in advertising.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time.

How we use information

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (hosting, authentication, analytics and advertising, as described above), when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of WhaleMirror and its users.

Retention

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and security. Account bookmarks are kept until you remove them or ask us to delete your account data. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to Google's policies.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of personalized ads as described above, and use the site without signing in. Children

WhaleMirror is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
