Trader DNA: What Kind of Trader Is This Whale?

Two traders with identical PnL can have completely different styles. Trader DNA reads a Hyperliquid account's fills and classifies how it trades — so you know whether its positions are a five-minute scalp or a multi-week thesis.

The five styles

Scalper (very short holds, many trades), Swing (days-long holds around levels), Trend (rides extended moves), Mean Reversion (fades stretched moves) and Grid (layered orders across a range).

Risk and emotion scores

The Risk score reflects leverage, position concentration and drawdown. The Emotion score looks for behaviour like revenge trading and size increases after losses.

Everything is shown on a radar chart so you can compare traders at a glance.

Frequently asked questions

How is a trader's style determined?

From their actual Hyperliquid fills: holding time, trade frequency, entries relative to recent moves and position sizing patterns.

Why does trading style matter for following a trader?

Because you can only realistically mirror styles that match your time and risk tolerance — a scalper's edge disappears if you enter minutes late.
